The process of creating the AU Web App involved utilizing GeoServer and OpenLayers, essential tools for web GIS applications. GeoServer was set up to serve soil data from Australia, involving downloading, installing, and configuring the software. OpenLayers, added to the HTML file, facilitated the creation of a map object set to display Australia and incorporated a base map layer. Boundary & Soil , data was integrated using GeoServer as a WMS layer, styled to represent various soil types. Additional functionalities like a search function, legend, and layer control were implemented to enhance user experience. Deploying the application, either through web hosting or cloud services, was highlighted, concluding with a summary of steps and resources for further learning about OpenLayers and GeoServer.
